At first look, it looks like just another abandoned mill: broken walls, rusted iron frames, and crumbling structures. But those who have stepped inside and stay there, believe it is far more than a ruin. They say it is home to restless souls. History of the Place

During those days Britishers were ruling over India and textile industry played a very prominet role in shaping the economy of Bombay. Now a days Bombay is known as Mumbai. During 1850 many textile mill industry were setup in Bombay. The Mukesh mill was one of them. It was located very near to Mumbai harbor . Therefore it was extremely convenient for export and import. Whatever it may be the mill operated on a large scale with thousands of workers. It supplied textiles and soon became a hub of trade. The sound of heavy machines once filled the entire area. But fate had other plans. In course of time the workers were exploited and they started hartal. Due to the Hartal of Workers and the economic impact of World War many mill of Mubai stopped production. But the actual downfall of Mukesh mill started in 1982. In the year 1982 unfortunately a massive fire broke out. The flames spread rapidly, destroying the entire mill and Many workers lost their lives. It was a very dangerous incident happpen that day. The starnge thing is that the actual cause of the fire was never come to the limelight. Some assumed it as an electrical fault, while others believed that foul play was involved. Due to this incident, the entire mill was shut down permanently. Over the time, it turned into a abandone place. But that was only the beginning of its horror story.

Ghost Story and Tales of the Visitors:

Since then many haunted experiances reported in course of time . Because of its creepy, ruined look, Mukesh Mills became a favorite location for shooting horror films by bollywood industry. Yet, actors, directors, and crew members reported creepy experiences. During the shooting of a movie, an actress suddenly shouted at the crew in a strange, heavy voice“Leave this place! This is ours!. Everyone astonished by seeing the sudden behavious change and ran out of the mill. Later, the actress said that she remembered nothing about that incident.

A cameraman once noticed a shadowy figure on his screen. When he turned back, nothing was there. Shockingly, the same shadow appeared in the recorded footage as well which was totally strange. A director recalled that while he was inspecting the location, someone whispered in his ear. But no one was around. Guards stationed at the mill refuse to work night shifts. They report: Sounds of machines running, though all equipment is long destroyed. The smell of something burning, like the fire of 1982 returning. Feeling constantly followed by an invisible presence. Many guard left their jobs and reported about the hunting experinces which they feel at that place. Residents living in the nearby area said that they often hear screams and cries from the ruins of mukesh mill at night. A few even claim to have seen figures covered in ash wandering around.

Present Condition of Mukesh Mill

Today, Mukesh Mills is a completely abandone place. Crumbling walls, burnt remains, and rusted structures can be easily seen in the site. The place was sometimes used for film and television seriel shoots during the day time only. But after sunset, the gates were closed. The Mumbai police and local authorities strictly prohibit entry in to site and staying inside the place at night. Creepy sounds are still reported there . so still it is one of the most haunted place of india . People believe the spirits of workers who died in the fire still roam here. Those who dared to stay overnight often fell ill or experienced terrifying events.Mukesh Mills is not just an abandoned mill—it is a chilling reminder of how tragedy, mystery, and folklore can blend into one haunting tale.
